I paint more than just myths, but Jungian archetypes were one of my starting points. There was also a love of illustration, surrealist and symbolist art, science fiction, archaeology, foreign cultures, and ancient civilizations. Who has seen the hieroglyphics of the Maya and not wondered, how different were their minds? Or the cave paintings of the paleolithic and thought, when did we start being people?
