Protector 12" x 10" acrylics on canvas

We named our children after gods and more than human entities. Even our cats got evocative names. My name, however, is plain as plain can be - Bill - though I wouldn't change it at this point. It's origin is from Wilhelm, which means "protector." This image came to me unbidden. I feel it represents who I am, a protector, and by extension, a nurturer, a defender and a life giver.
